How do I use this product?
Because Sculptra is a medical device, it should only be administered by a registered medical professional. Additionally, the injector must be trained in correcting facial volume imperfections.
Sculptra should be injected into the deep dermis using a tunneling or threading technique in a cross-hatch pattern. The treated areas should be massaged after the injection to distribute the product evenly and prevent the formation of nodules.
Please note that this suspension can be mixed with lidocaine to reduce discomfort and pain from the injection.
Usually, treatment with Sculptra consists of 3–4 injection sessions spaced 3 weeks apart. After this, results can last for up to 2 years.
How long will the treatment take?
Sculptra takes 30 to 60 minutes to be administered. For optimal results, patients should abstain from alcohol in the days before receiving this treatment. After the treatment, patients may immediately return to their daily activities.
